From our experience in the commercial solar industry, we are able to provide the highest quality installations for your home. One of the biggest challenges in residential solar is the need to utilize power during the day in order to maximise the system performance. We work hard to design a system for you that best suits your individual requirements

Our systems provide a cost-effective alternative to Grid Power for many locations where it is expensive to connect to the grid or for people looking for a more reliable self-sufficient power solution. These systems can accommodate for those with even larger power requirements by utilizing AC Coupling Technology which enables daytime loads to be supplied directly from the Solar Array which minimizes the draw on the battery system and gives more capacity for night-time loads.
The battery of choice for off grid systems with unrivalled reliability and a long, maintenance free lifespan, capable of delivering large amounts of power.
Lead acid battery with a lower price point, well suited to smaller systems with periodic usage.
New technology with a similar lifespan to lead acid gel batteries that provide greater flexibly in the incremental addition of new batteries.
Alternative to traditional battery types with the ability to discharge without damage and without loss of capacity over their lifespan at the cost of affordability.
Yass Valley Solar provides renewable energy solutions on a commercial scale with the latest solar power technology and battery storage solutions combined with customised design and engineering to deliver exceptional industry standard solar systems.

Wood heating
Traditionally the most common form of heating for an off-grid house.
...
Geothermal Hydronic heating
Possibly the ultimate heating source. By extracting heat from the ground using a series of ground
loops this option provides the most efficient of all electric heating systems.
...
An air sourced hydronic heat pump
Works on the same principle as a geothermal heat pump, however it draws the heat from the air rather than the ground.
...
Hydronic heating using a wood, chip or gas fed boiler
Unit provides all the benefits of a hydronic system without the use of any significant amount
of electricity.
...
Gas heating
A free-standing gas heater can provide a great supplementary heating potion solution.
...
Electric split system air conditioners.
When used for cooling, they operate extremely efficiently.
...
Oven – While a gas oven reduces the load on the system significantly, many people prefer to cook with and electric oven over gas. There are also dual fuel ovens available that can heat with both electricity and/or gas.
Cooktop – The most popular option is a gas cooktop as they can deliver high temperatures and have a low gas consumption. Electric cooktops can be used, however can add significant cost to the off-grid system to produce the energy required.
Fridges and freezers – Having energy efficient fridges and freezers is important in any off-grid system as there can be a big difference between units. Making sure that the fridge is in good order and that the door seals seal properly is also important.
Solar Gas Boosted hot water is the most common off-grid hot water system available and provides consistent operation while using minimal amounts of power and keeping gas costs low.
Solar Electric Boosted water can be used for lower use applications or where there is a surplus amount of solar energy during the winter months.
Gas Instantaneous hot water provides the lowest installation costs and can provide unlimited amounts of hot water, however this system has a higher running cost compared to the other options.
Heat Pump hot water systems provide a gas free solution and have a much lower power usage than a traditional hot water system. This option will however, require additional capacity in the off-grid system to enable operation.
Solar pumps can provide efficient, water transfer in a variety of situations where it is impractical or too expensive to run the pump on mains power providing a reliable, zero emissions solution
